Cleddau Art is the creation of Simon James, an artist born and living in Pembrokeshire, South Wales, UK.

My passion for drawing started at the age of six, and now, approaching 50, my love for art has only intensified, enriched by years of dedicated practice, resulting in detailed pastel portraits of pets, landscapes and wildlife.

When I'm not drawing, or relaxing with my lovely wife Jess, the cats Catkin & Bella and the chickens May, Eowyn and Sam, I try to appreciate our beautiful surroundings. We can often be found strolling the coast paths or woodlands that surround us. A two mile walk can take a very long time as we are both prone to stopping to admire the birds, insects and flowers we come across along the way.

This is all very inspiring and has led to me wanting to capture some of the beauty and detail of these fascinating creatures and places.
